Welcome to TAYLOR SHORTLET HOMES, your home away from home. These Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) apply to the relationship between TAYLOR SHORTLET HOMES, THE CLIENT, GUESTS, and their visitors. By using or subscribing to our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, all applicable laws, and regulations. These Terms govern your use and access to our apartments. TAYLOR SHORTLET HOMES reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time at its sole discretion.
ELIGIBILITY
To make a booking with TAYLOR SHORTLET HOMES, you must be at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into a binding contract. By using our services, you affirm your eligibility and agree to accept our terms and conditions.
- CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT TIME Our standard check-in time is from 2 PM, and check-out time is 12 PM unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- PAYMENT A full payment for the total cost of the booking, including a refundable caution deposit, is required at the time of reservation and before check-in.
- PARTIES We do not allow parties in our apartments, as this is prohibited by the estate facility management. You may use the Top Roof Bar facility for this purpose. Any guest who contravenes this policy will be asked to leave the apartment without a refund and may be subject to a fine.
CANCELLATION AND ALTERATION REQUESTS
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the check-in date for a refund. Cancellation and refund are not permitted after this time.
- Cancellations cannot be made once the guest has checked in.
- If we cancel a confirmed booking, we will do our utmost to find a replacement property. If we cannot find a replacement property, Taylor Shortlet is limited to refunding only the unused period to the guest’s account.
- If a property becomes unavailable before the guest’s arrival, we will do our best to find a suitable replacement property of equal standard. If a more expensive property is selected, the guest can choose to pay the difference or receive a refund of the monies paid for the unused period.
OCCUPANCY
Guests can have visitors during the day or night, but the total number of occupants must not exceed the overnight limits: 2 in a one-bedroom apartment and 4 in a two-bedroom apartment. A penalty will be imposed for contravention.
NO SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed in our short-term rental apartments. Guests may smoke outside the flats or in designated smoking areas on the property. Any guest who violates this policy will be asked to leave the apartment without a refund and may be subject to a fine stipulated by the estate management, particularly in the case of illegal substances.
REFUNDABLE CAUTION DEPOSITS
The refundable caution deposit will be returned to the guest within a maximum of 1- 2 working days from the check-out date, provided that:
- No damage to the apartment(s) has occurred, either by the guest or their visitors.
- No loss or damage to any property has occurred by any guest or their visitors.
- No contravention has taken place.
In the event that a guest damages an item, multiple items, or the property itself, the guest forfeits the deposit paid and is liable to cover the full costs, as determined by the estate facility management or Taylor Shortlet Homes.
The said Refundable Caution Deposit shall be to partly or fully offset any cost of repair or damage done or caused by the Guest. Notwithstanding, refund shall only be made in the event where the Guest did not incur any cost thereto and has handed over the demised flat in good and same condition, that he met it.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD A GUEST UNILATERALLY CHECKOUT WITHOUT LETTING THE HOUSEKEEPER OR APARTMENT MANAGER AWARE OF HIS/HER CHECKOUT PLAN. ANY BREACH TO THIS ACT WILL BE CONSIDERED DISAPPEARED AND ABANDONED WITHOUT HANDOVER. ANY MISSING, DAMAGED, STOLEN ITEMS ETC AS A RESULT OF THIS ACT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUEST CLIENT.
EMERGENCY CONTACT / ACCESS
FOR ANY EMERGENCY, CLARIFICATION REQUIRED ETC., PLEASE CONTACT THE HOUSEKEEPER OR THE APARTMENT MANAGER OR THE SECURITY OFFICER / POLICEMEN AT THE GATE
Taylor Shortlet Homes agents and subcontractors have the right to access the property at any time for the purpose of carrying out essential repair or maintenance work, even if the client is unavailable, to prevent loss of life or further damages.
CONDUCT OF GUESTS
All guests must provide valid identification, such as a National Identification Number (NIN), Voter’s Card, International Passport, or Driver’s License, when requested for their safety and the safety of others within the estate.
Wi-Fi ACCESS
Taylor Shortlet assumes no liability for guests’ or clients’ Wi-Fi usage.
INSURANCE
Taylor Shortlet Homes and its agents assume no responsibility or liability for guests’ belongings and property during their stay. Guests are therefore encouraged to keep safe their property and consider obtaining appropriate insurance coverage for their own property and third-party liabilities during their stay.
THE ESTATE RULE APPLIES TO ALL GUESTS/VISITORS. E.G. ORDELY BEHAVIOUR, SAFE DRIVING, PARKING AT DESIGNATED SPOTS, NO STEALLING, NO TEMPERING WITH OTHER PEOPLE’S PROPERTY, NO HANGING OF CLOTHES ON BALCONY RAIL, NO HARD DRUG, ETC. PENALTY APPLIES FOR ANY BREACH
GOVERNING LAW
All matters or disputes related to or arising from the booking of accommodation with us will be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine such disputes or matters.
